Description

Waterspot Mineral Remover is perfect for removing mineral contamination caused by highly sedimented limestone that can no longer be removed with a classic washing cycle consisting of pre-wash and wash with neutral or alkaline shampoo.

Before using this product, we advise you to proceed with a thorough washing, according to the correct washing sequence: rims and tires, pre-wash and manual washing with shampoo.

If at the end of drying there remain: limescale stains, strongly anchored mineral residues or halos on the crystals, Waterspot Mineral Remover is perfect for removing these sedimented contaminations.

Having carried out a complete washing, it will be easier to identify all the points where the contamination is concentrated and to act in a localized way with the most suitable technique.

Advantages

  • Specific decontaminant for the removal of limescale stains

  • Ready to use, easy to use and non-abrasive because it chemically dissolves dirt [rimuovi]

  • Effectively removes mineral contaminants (limescale, salt residues, concrete saltpetre), superficial oxidation, water spots and acid rain from windows and bodywork.

  • Powerful, effective and safe on painted surfaces.

  • Ideal to use before applying an anti-rain protection or a nano glass sealant.

  • Ideal for improving the bond of protective sealants, coatings or wax.

  • Ideal for all surfaces: glass, paint, plastics and chrome.

Recommendations

Make sure the surface of the vehicle is not hot and in the shade. Before applying it, we suggest to wash and dry the surface to be treated so that you can see any stains better. Leave the product to work for no more than 60 seconds, to prevent any halos formation.

Instructions for use

To use the product you will need:

A microfiber pad

Amicrofiber cloth

A soft bristled brush

For localised stains; directly apply the product onto the surface, leave it to act for 30 seconds and then wipe off with a damp microfiber cloth such as our “Polishing Cloth”. Finish it with a second soft, clean microfiber cloth.

For tough stains; repeat the process, leaving the product to work for a little longer but no more than 60 seconds, to be sure that the product does not dry on the bodywork.

When cleaning the windshield and rear window; we suggest cleaning half a window at a time and then rinsing.

In case of limescale marks across the bodywork; apply the product directly and uniformly to one panel at a time, working it in evenly with a pad such as our “Microfiber Pad”. Lastly, rinse with clean water before moving on to the next panel.

For less accessible parts; such as badges, locks, wheel nuts or mouldings, use a soft bristled brush in order to distribute and work the product.

For a better rinse in total safety, you can use the Exterior Quick Detailer.

You can learn more about its use in its dedicated video.

Its formula is effective and safe on all surfaces, and, for its processing we can also help with a soft bristle brush, useful for reaching delicate, difficult to access points or for working during the phase of removing limestone from glass. plastics, emblems, logos and moldings.

Always proceed one panel at a time, or work small areas without ever letting the product dry.

FAQ

Why is it important to remove lime scale from the surface?

Lime scale on a surface acts in a similar way to tartar on our teeth. Tartar is formed as a result of mineral deposits that take root strongly on the tooth, so much so that it can’t be removed with a normal toothbrush. It is not immediately visible but over time, as it takes root, it could lead to serious damage. The same goes for our cars, lime scale is a residue that cannot be removed with a simple general wash. It settles, in the points where the water stagnates, such as the seat of the wheel nuts, mouldings or emblems. As it builds up, it dulls the body colour and stains the windows. This means that it needs to be removed using “Waterspot Mineral Remover”, a specific product, capable of dissolving limestone while respecting the materials on which it is anchored. Among other things, the lime scale can’t be removed with mechanical decontamination using the claybar. To dissolve the calcium minerals which make up the lime scale, we need to carry out chemical decontamination with "Waterspot Mineral Remover". But these are not the only contaminants that may be present on our car. If we find iron mineral contamination caused by pollution, this can be removed using Iron Remover. You can find out more watching the dedicated video. The result will be a newly purified surface.

How can I check that I have fully decontaminated the lime scale surface?

To check this, simply use a jet of water. If, when you pass a jet of water over the surface of the car you see the water slide off in a compact film, you can be sure that the surface has been completely purified.

Should Water Spot Remover be used on wet or dry cars? It depends on the type of contamination. Work on a dry surface with spot cleaning when there is limited or localized contamination. Apply to a wet car when there is widespread and large contamination or on the windows.

If the car is completely contaminated by lime scale, what should I do?

In the case of strong contamination, such as stains that form when a water jet hits the car from a sprinkler or after rinsing with particularly hard water, or when you notice the dull and opaque bodywork, I would recommend you proceed with a thorough washing with "Prewash shampoo" and "Black & Wrap shampoo".
